Ok thank you Admin but what if the first man goes tothe center of the room the second man have to decide to go right or left, if he goes right the second man goes left and the first man is only man that is covering the center of the room? the fourth man is "coridorman".
P.S.while two man clearing, can the third man engage targets inside the room while outside the room. |

I’m not sure I understand your question. Please describe it in another way!
There are as many techniques as there are units in the world, I assume you have looked here:
http://www.cqb-team.com/Entry.html So there are many right ways to dominate a room.
“while two man clearing, can the third man engage targets inside the room while outside the room.”
If it is a team sop and they are good at it, why not? |

Sorry for mistakes in my previous question. What I wanted to ask you is in this diagram:
SAS team is stacked out the door, the door opens and they enter the room. If the threat is present in the middle of the room, the first man will go out of the fatal funnel and shoot the threat, or goes in the direction of the threat and fires at the threat? If the first man goes in the middle of the room, second man goes right and the third man takes the left side of the room, and I think SAS are doing “three man imidiat threat” room clearing. Because if they use two man imidiat threat technique and first man engages target in the middle of the room, second man goes right, the left hard corner is cleared by nobody. Or the third man just stays on the door and overwatches. Tell me what do you think?
Also notice the stack in this diagram they aren’t parallel with the wall so the first man can see the room before he enters also the others can see where is going the man in front of him. I suppose that in the SAS the first man decides he will go left or right by the way door opens. I want just to know what do you think. And thank you Admin cqb-team.com helps me a lot. Do you want to send you a diagram concept for arresting suspects in a car? |

I only know what I have read in a basic training sop from 1993.
That states that 2 men enter the room dividing it in two sectors, they clear from the hard corner to the centre and then the wingman’s sector. They front man decides witch way he wants to go. And the 3 man is a backup man that stays in the doorway and looks after number 1 and 2 if they go down, and if he can eliminate a threat with out danger for the others he may take a shoot from the door.
In real life I think that they deviate from the basic, by thinking:
Where is the biggest threat to me now?
Where did the man in front of me go?
And then in a very dynamic way clear the room. SAS are some of the best at this game.
If you have info regarding cars, feel free to start a topic in this forum |

lucky me... i have some m8s from british commandos... so they work in big teams and double stacks, always one man in a corridor, and left behind 2MTs to the room clearing. when they start entries with 2MT they always turn into the hard corners. if the threat is in the middle the point man fire on the move to the middle of the room with doube tap, and turn into hard corner if enemy down or not! the second man shoot to the middle too and turn! this double double tap on the move will suppressed the enemy for short time when they check the hard corners, and turn back to the middle fireing to the target, if its necessary. we use like this, with little differents: we use 3MT if we can, and use the hallway domination from the safe room if its possible. if not (to long corridors without rooms, room ignored VIP prots, and in the others), we use 2MT to front cover. when you are the point or action man, you have a seaching method: go in, turn to the hard corner, turn to the middle, and turn up. if you have to shoot you shoot on the move, and do not stop the searching method. _________________ WORK HARD, PLAY HARD! |
